Island Gymnastics
Your home for gymnastics on the island of Martha's Vineyard for over 35 years. From recreational to competitive gymnastics programs, there's something for everyone at Island Gymnastics.

About Island Gymnastics
Founded by Beth Goodell in 1990, Island Gymnastics offers a range of classes for tiny tots through adults at our gym in West Tisbury. Offering year-round and summer gymnastics programs, Island Gymnastics is a welcoming home for gymnasts - from aspiring to nationally ranked - on Martha’s Vineyard. Our goal is to help all who walk through our doors develop a love for learning and equip them to embrace new challenges.
Programs
We offer recreational and competitive gymnastics programs for all: from the tiniest of tots through adults, beginners through elite, all are welcome to come and enjoy the programs and training we offer.
Our recreational classes focus on gross motor skills, fundamental gymnastics, and helping gymnasts develop their confidence and a love of sport. These classes are open to all who are interested and participants sign up for one session at a time. Each session is roughly 5 weeks long, with the sessions aligning with the school calendar. We offer discounts for multiple classes and also for siblings.
Our competitive program is by invite only and offers a rigorous yet fun way for gymnasts to take their skills to the next level. We offer The Xcel Program, a competitive program that provides a flexible and personalized competitive experience for a wide range of gymnasts, from beginners to advanced and extends through the end of high school. There are six Excel levels, each of which offers increasing difficulty and complexity of skills as gymnasts progress. The levels are: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Sapphire. The team program runs the duration of the school year, and unlike our recreational classes that enroll on a session-by-session basis, enrollment in this competitive program is a commitment for the full school year (September through June).
